Here’s a bespoke painting with a difference!

Midnight Fest abstract painting is inspired by giving and receiving of gifts.

I wanted to make a painting with a take on the experience of a present but not make it too like a ‘box’.

It has a highly textured surface into which, when hardened, I carved out my shape and drilled holes around the random carving. I painted it all a gorgeous rich blue, then picked up all the textures with gold, adding a little more on the painting’s edges.

When dry, I inserted the gold rope into the prepared drilled holes and secured on the reverse.

The painting’s interior is of genuine 24 carat gold leaf which reflects any light from your room. (Please see/ask me about having WIFI LED lighting inside.)
